Sony Xperia UL Leak

As if Sony doesn’t have enough handsets in the Xperia range, the company is prepping yet
another device for the Xperia range. The Sony Xperia UL looks surprisingly like the Xperia ZL.
According to the latest pictures leaked online, Sony is working on the new Xperia UL which is
said to be the Xperia ZL with the Snapdragon 600 processor. Interestingly, there seems to be a
change in the design compared to the usual Xperia phones. The new design is quite plain and
more attractive with rounded corners and edges. The Xperia UL is said to feature a Snapdragon 600 with mostly a 4.6 inch HD display. While some are expecting a 1080p resolution,
people in the know claim that the resolution would be high for a 4.6 inch. We can expect this device to launch anytime soon.

Nokia Lumia 925 just announced and the specifications are as follows :

Design
The Lumia 925 strays from Nokia’s current Lumia in the design department, trading polycarbonate in some places for aluminum. The result is a thinner,
sleeker Lumia that now resembles some of its Android competition.
Polycarbonate does come into play in the rear of the device, which will come in black, white and grey.
Much like some of the other Lumias on the market, the phone will also be capable of wireless
charging. Rather than build the wireless charging capabilities into the handset, however, wireless
charging is done through a thin charging cover placed on the back of the phone. The cover looks like a trendy case rather than a
way to charge, and will come in white, yellow, black and red.
The phone has a 4.5” AMOLED WXGA (1280×768) display made out of sculpted Gorilla Glass 2.
Much like Nokia’s other handsets, the phone has a ClearBlack display for making blacks blacker,
and has a super sensitive screen for using the phone while wearing gloves.

Motorola X shows up on GFXBENCHMARK

image

The X phone already showed up in AnTuTu scores , showing an uninspiring result for a 1.5GHz processor. The device that ran the
GFXBenchmark, however, had its CPU clocked at 1.7GHz. The OS version is also different – this
one was running standard Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean, while the one that ran AnTuTu reported
Android 5.0.1. The GPU is Adreno 320, which combined with the
CPU clock speed makes it quite likely that this a Qualcomm Snapdragon 600 chipset.

Unofficial Sony Xperia S39h smartphone surface

We have come across some
leaked pictures of a new Sony Xperia handset with model number S39h. Judging by the model
number it looks like it will sit just above the 4.3- inch Xperia L (C210X, S36h). The pictures show a phone in white with dedicated camera button and using several design elements from the 2013
range of Sony Xperia phones including the signature power button.

We know that Sony is continuing to use two model naming schemes side-by-side. The first is
the new CXXXX naming structure for handsets released in 2013, whilst that used for handsets in
China continues to be the old structure with S/M/L denoting small/medium/large handsets. So it seems pretty much a given that this handset is being considered for China, but we don’t know if
it will see a release outside the region at this stage.

We have no idea if this handset is a prototype or whether it will see production. However, we’re
already seeing a growing number of Xperia handsets for Sony’s 2013 smartphone portfolio.
We’ll keep you posted if we do hear more on the Sony S39h.

Sony announced Xperia ZR

Sony has announced the younger Brother to the Xperia Z: the Xperia ZR. The Xperia ZR includes
many of the Z’s features in a smaller, more compact design.

image

The Xperia ZR has a 4.5inch, 1280 x 720 resolution LCD. Sony is using its BRAVIA Engine 2, along with something called OptiContrast panel. This basically gets rid of the extra touchscreen layer by integrating the touch sensor on the panel itself, which improves image quality and makes the display assembly thinner. Along with 1.5GHz  Quad-core Snapdragon Qualcomm APQ8064, 2GB RAM , 8GB
internal memory with microSD card slot and Android 4.1 Jelly Bean. The Sony Xperia ZR is expected to go on sale
around the world in Q2, 2013.

Samsung Galaxy S4 mini leak

With the Samsung Galaxy S4 mini now expected to be introduced at the end of this month, some new pictures of the byte-sized version of Samsung’s flagship Android
phone have leaked.

As you might expect, the Samsung Galaxy S4 mini takes its
design cues from its big brother and while the device might
get unveiled just as May is ending, we still could be looking
at a launch in June or July. For those who can’t handle the
5 inch screen on the Samsung Galaxy S4, the 4.3 inch
display could be easier to wield. But with the smaller screen
comes less awesome specs. The 441ppi pixel density on
the Samsung Galaxy S4 drops down to a 256ppi pixel
density on the mini. And instead of the octo-core Samsung
Exynos 5 processor (international version) or the quad-core
Qualcomm Snapdragon 600 processor found on the
Samsung Galaxy S4, the mini sports a dual-core 1.6GHz
processor.
